Its interesting to see such a water retentive and non-dense mix. Conventional wisdom would be to maximise drainage and minimise moisture. Then again, most people kill their succulents, conventional wisdom sucks. But this is actually pretty similar to mixes I see for small tropical plants like peperomia prostrata or ficus pumila, which is surprising. Main difference is using granite instead of pumice.

I went to Nundle last Christmas looking for gold. We found a bit which was exciting for my first effort. I also found a beautiful red stone & some beautiful clear ones! But the person that was teaching me wasn't in to gem fossicking. So I just ended up bringing home a sack of the sieved (1/8 I believe) Watching this has spurred me on to get out in my backyard & start checking it! 😊

Hello il watching this today. I need help to clean my mother of pearl they are raw. The calcification is so thick i dont want to use grinder etc. is there a chemical method that i can soak it in and clean it off . Please suggest me something. I just want to make a few inlays for my instrument.

Thank you! for sending me video of Pedro. He definitely is a male with the blue color above his beak. I sooo miss my Tiki. I was home with him a lot and would lie on the couch and he would stand on my neck right next to my mouth so he could listen to me talk to him. He almost got the whole sentence 'My name is Tiki, and I am a green and yellow budgie'. He could say many things because of me training him. As I said he loved his fake budgie so you know. One think I did learn is their cage is their domain and even if he was sitting in the open door, he often did not want interaction and would try to bite. I would just blow in his face. He was VERY attached to me and my husband, but really didn't like visitors at all. Please don't force him. My Tiki was not a 'held' bird, so when he became ill I had to try to hold him to give him medication. My partner and I, after spending $500 with a bird vet(and this was many years ago) decided to put him out of his misery. I couldnt be in there. so my partner did it. We both cried after and got rid of everything relating to Tiki. I couldn't get another one, because they are not allowed to be imported from Australia and the they are bred here is in parts of B.C. Canada, and unfortunately have become inbred. Anyhow thanks for the entertainment and one thing, budgies can eat is hard boiled eggs, chickweed that grows wild and lots of other things. No mirrors, and no unneeded cuttlefish. You guys look like you are having fun. Also please no wing clipping. Its a huge depressant for the bird. Thanks again. S.G. I am sooo jealous.
